Thanassis Avramopoulos is a business consultant active in both the private and public sectors. For the last five years, he is the Finance, Human Resources & Administration Director of Diamond Resorts Vacations, a subsidiary of Diamond Resorts International, a NYSE-listed Holiday Ownership company.
Prior to that, he was the President & CEO of Vocational Training S.A., a subsidiary of the Greek Manpower Organization (OAED) and at the same time responsible for assisting the Minister of Employment & Social Welfare on the reorganization of the public employment services. Before that, he served as the Managing Director of Manpower Team S.A., the local affiliate of the NYSE-listed company Manpower Inc.
During his seven-year tenure with Manpower, he introduced the concept of temporary employment in Greece and contributed to the drafting of the relevant legislation for the temporary employment through private agencies, which was later passed as a law by the Greek Parliament. During the same period of time, he also served as the President of the Greek Temporary Employment Agencies Association. From 1988 to 1998, he was the Managing Director of Euroholidays S.A. and RCI Greece S.A., a Holiday Ownership multinational company.
Many of Thanassis articles have been published in national newspapers and trade magazines and he has repeatedly appeared on television and radio programs to discuss employment, human resources, management as well as tourism matters. He has also been the speaker at many conferences.
