Avramopoulos & Partners has a department devoted to yacht and superyacht law. Our lawyers provide legal advice and practical guidance in all aspects of yacht and superyacht ownership, sale, purchase, registration, finance, insurance and management. They are specialized and experienced to work out the best possible solution for every case and for any client and are providing consultation regarding the national /European yachting regulatory and legislative framework, including all VAT issues. They are also intimately familiar with the long-standing practices in the Greek yacht industry. Support is provided by our lawyers specialized in corporate, commercial, and financing departments.

  • Provision of legal advice and services to clients regarding the exploitation of Commercial yachts with Greek flag at the Dalmatian Coast by maintaining their Greek License in compliance with the new Law 4926/2022.
  • Provision of legal advice and services to clients regarding the establishment of a Maritime Company of Law 959/1979 and the exploitation of Professional Day Cruise Vessels, according to the new Law 4926/2022.

  • Provision of legal advice and services to clients regarding the establishment of a branch of a European Union (EU) or a European Economic Area (EEA) company in Greece for the operation and exploitation of Commercial yachts with Greek flag or EU or EEA flag under the scope of a new Law 4926/2022. 
  • Provision of legal advice and services to clients regarding the recent implementation of the provisions of the new Law 4926/2022 and of the EU Directives for the applicable VAT rates on charter parties.
  • Provision of legal services and consultation to clients regarding the establishment of a Maritime Company of Pleasure Yachts (M.C.P.Y.) in Greece for the operation and exploitation of Commercial yachts with Greek flag or EU or EEA flag under the scope of Law 4926/2022, including advice regarding the registration of commercial yachts in the e – Register, etc.
