  • Legal advice to a multi-national client regarding its EU-wide security breach notification obligations under the new European Electronic Communications Code (EECC) and the ePrivacy Directive. 
  • Legal advice to the Greek subsidiary of a U.S. listed company with regards to the launching of a pay TV platform in Greece. Our advice focused on the implementation of the Audio-Visual Media Services Directive (AVMS) in Greece and the related contribution obligations which apply locally for on-demand audio visual service provider established in another EU member state. 
  • Provision of advice in relation to Greek telecommunications law and in particular review of two new services to be offered by an automobile manufacturer. The two services refer to the offering of entertainment packages through its vehicles in cooperation with a network service provider.
    Our advice referred to the qualification of these services as electronic communication services or not and the subsequent qualification of the company as an electronic communication services provider, thus triggering regulatory requirements to be met in Greece. 
  • Provision of legal services to a leading Greek IT, Communications, Automation and Metrology Company. Drafting and reviewing all services, supply, support and maintenance contracts of the Company and providing legal support in all issues related to its operations, including disputes against Awarding Authorities of public tenders for IT customized services.
    In the past year, our advice was focused on drafting contracts for the provision of managed IT services in which the client is a major player in Greece. We have also provided advice in relation to the terms of collaboration with international vendors such as Cisco, Microsoft, etc. 
  • Provision of legal advice to a U.S. company on all matters relating to the expansion of their satellite spectrum rights of use license in Greece issued by the Hellenic Telecommunications and Post Commission (EETT). Legal advice regarding the second satellite spectrum rights of use license for the new gateway earth station in Greece and the Antenna Construction License, for its next generation satellite system. 
  • Provision of legal advice and services to a U.S. listed company with presence in Greece, in relation to the Company’s IT contractual and other related legal issues. 
  • Provision of advice to a major automobile manufacturer and in particular assessment of M2M services and their qualification as telecommunication services under Greek Telecoms law as well as advice on applicable licensing and notification requirements towards the Greek Regulator before starting the provision of the scoped services. The advice covered also issues such as numbering requirements, permanent roaming, extraterritorial use of foreign numbers, etc.
